FAQ's

Where do I buy my hair?

The most convenient way to purchase your new hair is to schedule an appointment with me for a consultation and color match.   A consultation is the first step for new clients. Contact me today to get scheduled.

Is a deposit required before my hair extension appointment?

For all hair extension consultations, color matches and installation appointments, a non-refundable deposit of $75 is required prior to me confirming your scheduled visit. Appointments are not secured until a deposit has been paid.

How often do I need to come in for a move up/tightening:

Every 4-6 weeks is most common and highly encouraged to protect your hair investment.

What is Remy hair?

Remy hair is made of 100% real human hair with the cuticle still intact. So, if a product is described as 'Remy' you can be assured it is not synthetic and of the highest quality human hair. The main difference between Remy hair and human hair is that when Remy hair is collected the cuticle is still intact.

How do I wash my hair with extensions?

Wash the hair with a sulfate-free shampoo in a downward motion to reduce tangling the hair. Do not bunch up the hair and lather. Be gentle when getting close to the scalp. Also, do not apply conditioner on or near the scalp since the oils in conditioner can loosen the extension beads.

How long will the appointment take when installing beaded weft hair extensions?

Approximately 1.5 - 2.5 hours depending upon the number of Goud Rows being installed or moved up.

Will my hair continue to grow if I get hair extensions?

Yes. Because your hair will continue to grow, it's important to attend regularly scheduled maintenance appointments in order to protect your hair.

Swimming while wearing hair extensions:

Yes you can go swimming while wearing your extensions, however salt water or chlorine pools are not recommended as this will make your hair extensions dry out.  Should you decide to go for a dip it is best to spray a leave-in conditioner throughout your extensions then braid your hair while swimming and/or avoid getting your hair wet when possible.  The same applies while exercising.

The myth that hair extensions cause your hair to break off:

The hair coming off is hair that you naturally shed and was stuck in the bead that the extensions were applied with. You naturally shed 50-150 strands of hair a day, that hair has nowhere to go when there are extensions applied over it. This is why regular move ups are very important, as they involve removing knots and tangles caused by natural hair shedding.

What is your refund policy?

I do not offer refunds or exchanges on the installation of hair.

Goud Hair Extensions  can be returned*  See our policy page for more information.
